SHILLONG, May 26: In order to bolster judicial infrastructure and enhance access to speedy justice, the Department of Justice under the Ministry of Law and Justice has sanctioned Rs 1.80 crore to Meghalaya for the fiscal year 2025-26. The funds are being disbursed through SNA-SPARSH, an innovative fund flow mechanism designed for real-time and transparent transfers under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
SNA-SPARSH (System for Nationally Aligned — Streamlined Payments and Real-time Settlement Hub) integrates the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), state Integrated Financial Management Information Systems (IFMIS), and the Reserve Bank of India’s e-Kuber platform. This integration ensures ‘just-in-time’ fund releases, eliminating delays and reducing idle funds in government accounts.
This initiative is part of the central government’s broader strategy to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the justice delivery system across the country.
Meghalaya joins other states like Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha, which have recently received similar allocations under the SNA-SPARSH system.
