NONGSTOIN: One Wantiful Khoksi (16) daughter of Gialin Khoksi of Langumshing-A, under West Khasi Hills has been reported missing since February 28.
The parents said that their daughter was working in the stone quarry in Nongdaju along with her grandmother but at around 4:30pm on February 28, she and her grandmother left the stone quarry.
Owing to her old age, the granddaughter left her grandmother behind while walking towards home.
After she failed to return home, the girl’s parents conducted a search and following no outcome, they filed an FIR at the Riangdo Police Outpost. Police have been trying their best to trace the missing person. However the girl’s parents strongly suspect that some truck driver might have kidnapped the girl.
It may be mentioned that on December 21, 2013 at around 4:30 pm, one Aidarisshisha Iawphniaw (6) was reported missing from her village at Banglapluh Riangdo West Khasi Hills but till date there are no whereabouts of the missing child.
The parents of Khoksi and the Police have informed the general public to notify if anyone had any information on their whereabouts.
