SHILLONG, June 30: The NPP state unit on Monday formally inducted Manroibha Kharpuri as the new president of the party’s Shillong city unit.
The post had remained vacant following the resignation of the former Mawlai MDC, Teiborlang Pathaw.
NPP state working president Hamletson Dohling, party general secretary (organisation) Donkupar War and secretary in-charge Jason S Mawlong were present during the formal inducted of Kharpuri.
At the same time, the party also formally inducted Arnold M Lanong and Sonny L Khyriem as the working presidents of NPP Shillong City, while Lanangshngain Pamthied and Damelari Ryntathiang were formally inducted as the general secretary and treasurer of the party unit, respectively.
Speaking to media persons, War said the NPP will now bolster its unit at the block level in areas within Shillong city.
