The cadaver of Shanta Bahadur (70), who passed away at North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, on February 6, was initially considered for academic and educational purposes. However, due to unexpected decomposition, the body is no longer suitable for its intended use. In this regard, the hospital authorities have asked any relative, acquaintance or concerned party to claim the body within 15 days by visiting the mortuary section/medical social worker, NEIGRIHMS.
