AAP to seek public opinion on election manifesto

SHILLONG: The Aam Aadmi Party, Meghalaya, has decided to seek suggestions and views of the common people that would be incorporated in the election manifesto of the party which is fighting its maiden election in the State.
Armerington Kharshiing, the party candidate, is contesting the Lok Sabha election for the Shillong parliamentary constituency.
Addressing newsmen here on Tuesday, party officials informed that people can either send e-mails at [email protected] or call the number 98620-41663 and share their views and suggestions so that the party can come up with a strong poll manifesto.
“We want to change the system; we want a safer and clean future for young generations   of the State,” Kharshiing said, adding, “AAP is a new party and they are here to work against corruption and malpractices of corrupt leaders and bureaucrats in the state and the country.”
According to Kharshiing, there are various schemes that have been manipulated which everyone knows but are not standing to fight against the epidemic. He was of the opinion that it was time to introduce the anti-corruption bill in the Parliament to bring in good governance.
Kharshiing who will be filing his nomination on March 20 informed that the party has not come out with any manifesto as AAP believes that all parties come out with manifesto but no one works to implement the promises in the manifesto.
