Junior Royals join Blues in U-14 semis

SHILLONG: Royal Wahingdoh reached the semifinals of the U-14 Football Tournament, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, after a goalless draw against Shillong Lajong at Second Ground, Polo, on Thursday.
The two teams progressing from Group I have thus been finalised.
Rangdajied United had already booked their place in the last-four with a 3-0 victory over Mawrynkneng on Wednesday.
The junior Blues have seven points from their three quarterfinal league matches and top the group, with Wahingdoh second on five.
Lajong end on four points, with Mawryngkneng on zero.
Meanwhile, Group II teams will play out their final league matches on Saturday.
Nangkiew Irat have already qualified with two wins in two games. They will face Smit at 4:00pm at Polo Grounds in a game that could well decide who top the group.
In the earlier 2:00pm fixture, Mawkhar will battle with Mylliem for the second qualifying place. Both teams have three points from two games.
