TURA, July 20: The interim body of the Postgraduate Students’ Union (PGSU) on Sunday sought the recruitment of staff at key administrative posts at the NEHU Tura Campus.
In its appeal to the NEHU Pro Vice-Chancellor in Tura, the union pointed out that failure to do the same was directly affecting the efficient functioning and overall growth of the campus.
In order to make the administrative setup stronger and ensure the timely implementation of academic, financial, and developmental activities, the union requested the immediate appointment of staff into the key posts.
Some of the key posts that needed to be filled up, according to the union, included the post of Deputy Registrar, PA to the Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrar (Administration), Section Officer, Assistant, Upper Division Clerk and Lower Division Clerk.
“The non-availability of these key administrative posts has created a void in the decision making and implementation processes, resulting in delays, miscommunication, and ineffective coordination between departments,” the union, in its appeal.
