NONGPOH: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Narbong Unit, on Monday while expressing concern over the deplorable condition of the Narbong-Byrnihat PWD Road has served a two-week ultimatum to the State Government for immediate repair of the road and threatened to forcibly close the road if the government failed to take appropriate action with regards to their demand.

The KSU claimed that the Union had received several complaints from the people residing in the area on the condition of the road which had been abandoned by the State Government without any repair for the past seven years.

The Union said that the deplorable condition of the road had badly affected the daily commuters and vehicles plying through the road, especially school-going children.
