Rs 15.24 cr vote-on-account tabled in KHADC

SHILLONG: KHADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit presented Rs 15.24 crore vote-on-account on the first day of the budget session on Tuesday for the period from April 1 to June 30.

The Executive Committee (EC) of the Council was unable to present the full budget for 2014-15 as the State government is yet to release the grant for the period of 2013-2014 to the council.

The CEM, while tabling the vote-on-account, informed that the full budget would be presented during the next session of the Council.

The major allocation is made for the civil works and development departments, which has been fixed at Rs 6.98 crore.

The General Administration Department is allocated Rs 3.73 crore; Rs 1.28 crore is earmarked for Forest Administration Department while Rs 1.03 crore has been earmarked for Revenue and Finance Departments for this three-month period.

The report of the election of the Sirdar of Mawbeh Larkhar Sirdarship was tabled in the House on Tuesday.
