2nd Division Cricket League

SHILLONG: Helping Hands defeated River Hauz by 13 runs in an SCA Second Division Cricket League match at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.

In a low-scoring contest that almost had a twist at the end, Helping Hands could only put together 90 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first.

Sanjay top-scored with 24, while Siddhant took 2-15 in four overs.

In reply, River Hauz struggled along in despondent fashion before the last few batsmen managed something akin to a solid partnership before the team were dismissed for 77 runs in 18.4 overs.

Clarence scored 18 runs, while Sanjeev took 2-19 in four overs for the winners.

First Division final today

Meanwhile, on Friday, the final of the First Division will be played between Keating Road and Young Guns.
