SHILLONG: Young Guns CC defeated Keating Road CC by 5 wickets in the finals of the SCA First Division Cricket League organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the Cricket Ground, Polo on Friday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss Keating Road CC were restricted to 127 runs in 27.5 overs. Dapenchu scored 35 runs from 51 balls.
In reply, Young Guns CC made a brisk chase scoring the required runs in 21.1 overs losing 5 wickets.
Man of the finals Roshan Pradhan scored 62 runs of 64 balls while Dava Veiba took 2 for 28 runs.
Veeru Chettri of Young Guns was declared Man of the Tournament.
The prizes were given away by N. Bhattacharjee, president, and LRS Pyngrope, vice president of SCA, among others.
