Two-wheelers stolen

Samuel R Chhangte lodged a complaint that in the wee hours of Friday, which coincided with Independence Day, miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (MZ-02C-6294) from Nongshiliang, Shillong.

Pramod Kumar lodged a complaint that on Friday, around 3 pm, his scooter (ML-05K-6719) was found missing from Rapsang parking lot, Iewduh, Shillong.

Kishor Dutta lodged a complaint that on the night of August 13, miscreant(s) stole his motorcycle (ML-05AE-8781) from inside his residential compound at R&R Colony, Lane No. 07, Shillong.

Staff steal boss’s gold ring

A resident of Nongrim Road, Laitumkhrah, lodged a complaint that on July 30, two of his employees both residents of Kalatek, Shella, East Khasi Hills, stole his gold ring and fled away.

Man attacked with stone

Dukhit Rai lodged a complaint that on August 14, around 6.30 am, one ‘Pappu’ demanded Rs 5,000 from him attacked him with a stone at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills. As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to hospital. Against the same Pappu, one Mintu Das lodged a complaint that on August 14, around 7.20 am, the assailant came armed with a knife, entered into his rented house at Khliehriat and demanded Rs 1,000. However, on failing to comply with his demand, the accused took away the complainant’s mobile phone, threatened him with dire consequences, and fled away.

Cattle stolen

Helminath Arengh of Imtra Apal, Mangsang, East Garo Hills, lodged a complaint that on August 13, around 1 am, miscreant(s) stole four head of cattle from his cowshed.

Break-in

Headmistress-cum-Secretary of Merenggipara Govt. LP School in South West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that on August 13, miscreant(s) broke into the school kitchen and stole several utensils valued around Rs 7,000.
