Seng Khasi Ri-War Mihngi wins inter-unit Seng Quiz

SHILLONG, Aug 24: Seng Khasi Ri-War Mihngi clinched the first place at the Inter-Unit Seng Quiz Competition, organised by the Literary Committee of Seng Khasi Kmie.
The event was held at the auditorium of Seng Khasi Higher Secondary School, Jaiaw, Shillong, as part of the grand celebration marking 125 years of the foundation of Seng Khasi.
The champion team from Seng Khasi Ri-War Mihngi was represented by Wandarilin Thabah and Babiang Suting. The second position went to Seng Khasi Malki, represented by Barijuban Lyngdoh and Saphira Kharmalki, while Seng Khasi Pynthorumkhrah, represented by Rangsankuparbok Majaw and Shristi Rani, secured third place.
The awards were dedicated in honour of (L) DK Dkhar, former president of Seng Khasi Kmie, with his family members present to show their support and encouragement to the young participants.
The programme was graced by Seng Khasi Kmie president, O Pyngrope, and general secretary, Hainess Marbaniang, along with vice presidents, members of Seng Khasi Kmie, Seng Kynthei, Seng Samla Seng Khasi Kmie, and representatives from various branches.
Dipshon Lyngdoh Nongbri, vice president and chairman of the Literary Committee, delivered an address, while Dr Badarishisha Kharwanlang, secretary of the Literary Committee, proposed the vote of thanks.
The winners were presented with cash prizes, trophies, and medals by the family of (L) DK Dkhar and the leaders of Seng Khasi Kmie.
