A teachers’ training programme, organised by the Agastya International Foundation in collaboration with RMSA, Department of Education, is under way. The two-day training programme, which was attended by teachers from nine schools from across Shillong, culminated on Friday.

Prog in Nongstoin marks 8th GST Day celebrations

SHILLONG, Aug 29: As part of the 8th GST Day celebrations, the Shillong CGST Commissionerate organised an outreach-cum-interactive session with GST taxpayers and other stakeholders under the chairmanship of H. Soikhanthang, Commissioner of CGST, Shillong, along with officers from both central GST and state GST at Trysem Hall, DRDA Office, Nongstoin. Organised on Friday, the programme aimed to raise awareness on key aspects of tax compliance, including GST registration, filing of returns, Input Tax Credit (ITC) and other related matters among taxpayers and the general public within the jurisdiction of the Nongstoin CGST range. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 100 registered and unregistered GST stakeholders from three districts, viz. West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills.
