Liquor raid

In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills, conducted raids in restaurants/stalls in the town and its outskirts during July which led to detection of 8 cases. wherein 275 litres of illicitly distilled liquor and 19.280 litres of IMFL was recovered. In this connection, three persons were arrested under the Excise Act, a statement issued here informed.
