EKH dist admin prepares for Agniveer & BSF recruitment

SHILLONG, Sep 29: With eyes on the upcoming recruitment rally for Agniveer and the ongoing drive by the BSF in Shillong, the district administration of East Khasi Hills convened a coordination meeting with the Director of the Army Recruiting Office, the Commandant of the BSF, the Superintendent of Police (East Khasi Hills), and representatives from all line departments to discuss preparations for the recruitment exercises.
To assist candidates, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, will conduct coaching sessions for those appearing in the written examination, starting September 30, 2025, at the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong.
The meeting, chaired by S Warjri, Additional Deputy Commissioner, was attended by Col. Vinay Kumar, Director of the Army Recruiting Office; Dileep Kumar, Commandant BSF; PT Passah, ADC; Joel Marngar, Additional SP; Lt. Col. S Marbaniang, ZSWO; along with officials from various line departments.
The recruitment rally for Agniveer will be held from October 14 to 17, 2025, at GTC Happy Valley, where 753 candidates from Meghalaya who cleared the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) earlier this year will undergo the rally and medical tests.
Meanwhile, the Special Recruitment Drive for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the BSF is ongoing, with physical efficiency tests being conducted from September 22 to October 8, 2025. Successful candidates will then appear for the written examination scheduled for October 18, 2025.
It is expected that over 10,000 candidates will participate in the physical tests, while around 6,000 will sit for the written exams.
