SHILLONG: Uncertainty over the venue for the Independence Day function in the State capital has ended with the East Khasi Hills district administration finally zeroing on the Second Division Ground, Polo.
“We have finally decided to hold the official Independence Day function at the Second Division Ground, a senior government official informed here on Monday.
The official, however, admitted that the ground is small in size.
“But I do not think this would create any kind of hindrance,” he added.
