GHADC pay disbursement plan on anvil

TURA, Oct 6: A presentation was made on the comprehensive salary disbursement plan during a meeting held today between the Sub-Committee, employees of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) and members of the Non-Gazetted Employees Association (NGEA).
Chaired by West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Vibhor Aggarwal, the meeting discussed the planning and progress for the disbursement of 12 months’ pending salaries to GHADC employees, as approved by the State Cabinet.
Council officials informed that preparations are under way to compile salary statements and complete necessary documentation to facilitate the release of funds.
During the meeting, the Sub-Committee outlined the steps being undertaken to ensure the disbursement process is completed by October 15, 2025. Deliberating on the matter, the DC informed that the objective of the meeting was to review the council’s readiness and ensure that the process proceeds smoothly.
He said that the timely release of the 12-month salary remains a top priority and that the disbursement will move forward as soon as all required documents are finalised.
The meeting concluded with an understanding that all stakeholders will coordinate closely to ensure the salary disbursement is completed within the stipulated timeframe, benefiting all GHADC employees.
