Drug peddler held in WGH

TURA, Oct 12: West Garo Hills (WGH) police on October 10 arrested a drug dealer while he, along with a few other youths, was creating a nuisance near the Patharkata area under Tikrikilla Police Station in the district. The area falls under the Bogulurbitha Outpost of Tikrikilla.
According to sources, around midnight, police apprehended several youths, including a local drug peddler identified as Rakizul Sheikh.
Acting on his lead, a search of his residence was conducted, where police recovered a significant quantity of psychotropic substances.
The seized items included 122 yaba tablets, 10 bottles of Tucorex/Codeine cough syrup (each 1000 ml), seven bundles containing 6,022 Symdex Plus capsules, and 2.3 kg of Tramadol.
A case has been registered, and the accused has been arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
