Shillong Sec School smash Ruprekha

SHILLONG: Shillong Secondary School were 54-run winners over Ruprekha School in their Inter School Cricket Tournament match at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Monday.

Earlier in the day, St Anthony’s School beat Gandhi Buniyadi School by 11 runs.

Choosing to bat first, Shillong Secondary made 154/5 in 25 overs. Dheeraj top-scored with 46, while Siddhart took 4-28 in four overs.

In reply, Ruprekha were all out for exactly 100 in 18.3 overs. Amir Hussain made 20, while Bikram bagged 2-19 in four overs.

In the first match, St Anthony’s were put in to bat first and were restricted to 112/3 in 20 overs. Sahil was the chief contributor with 30 runs.

Gandhi Buniyadi were then all out for 101 in 19.4 overs.

Vivek destroyed the opposition with figures of 5-18 in four overs, while Rahul top-scored with 26 runs.
