The accused was apprehended at Mawsynram by the Officer-in-Charge of Mawsynram Police Station on Saturday morning.
The arrest was made based on several FIRs filed by the victims.
On October 15, Laitumkhrah Police Station received two separate FIRs from two complainants reporting incidents of sexual harassment and stalking in public places by the driver of a black-coloured Bolero.
The incidents occurred at different locations around Laitumkhrah and were linked to the same individual and vehicle.
Police said the earliest report of sexual harassment by the accused dates back to May 2025, when the same vehicle was spotted near Don Bosco Square, Shillong.
Similar incidents were reported on September 17 along Dhankheti-Malki Road.
On September 23, the same vehicle stopped in front of a complainant and her friend near Don Bosco Laitumkhrah and engaged in obscene acts before leaving the scene, police said, adding that the latest incident occurred on October 13 near Loreto Convent.
As per police, the complainant was confronted by the driver of the same Bolero vehicle who engaged in obscene acts and wrongfully restrained her with his vehicle.
