SHILLONG, Oct 27: For the first time, Meghalaya is hosting the North East Science, Technology and Industrial Exposition (NESTI) 2025 at the NEHU campus in Shillong — marking a major step towards scientific and industrial growth in the region.
Organised jointly by the state and central government, the event features over 200 stalls showcasing innovations in technology, handicrafts, jute, sustainable development, and industrial advancement.
The exposition, which will run from October 27 till 30, aims to inspire students and young innovators by providing exposure to the latest developments in science and industry, while fostering awareness, creativity, and growth for the North Eastern region’s future.
Narendra Kumar, Chairman of the North East Science, Technology and Industrial Exposition, said the North East has always been rich in talent and creativity. “Through NESTI 2025, we aim to create a platform where innovation meets opportunity — where our youth can learn, engage, and transform their ideas into real-world solutions. This exposition is not just an event but a movement toward self-reliance and progress,” he said.
The grand event has drawn participation from schools, colleges, and technology departments, marking a milestone in Meghalaya’s journey towards scientific excellence and innovation.
