 SHILLONG: Celebrating its 2nd anniversary, the Bansara Eye Care Center organized an Eye Health Awareness Programme Cum Free Eye Camp here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion State Urban Affairs Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh underlined the importance of timely eye checkups and urged the general public to be aware of eye donation, pledging one’s eyes after death.

Meanwhile, Medical Director, Bansara Eye Care Center Dr Jennifer Basaiawmoit called upon the public to get themselves screened especially adults for Glaucoma, the silent eye killer. Around 200 patients benefited from the free eye camp.
