SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC have three names in the shortlist of the Football Players Association of India awards, which will be announced on April 29 in Kolkata.
SLFC coach Thangboi Singto has been nominated in the coaches’ category against big names such as Ashley Westwood (Bengaluru) and Armando Colaco (East Bengal).
Lajong’s Cornell Glen, with 13 goals, is in the running for the Foreign Player nod, while Boithang Haokip is a nominee for the Fans Player of the Year award. The public can vote for the latter honour at www.thefpai.net until April 27.
