TURA, Nov 6: The Annual Eucharistic Procession of the Catholic faithful of Tura is set to take place on Sunday in keeping with the long-standing tradition of the universal Catholic Church.
The sacred procession, held every year, serves as a profound expression of faith and devotion, centered on the Holy Eucharist, symbolising unity, reverence, and gratitude among believers.
“The procession will commence from the Sacred Heart Shrine, Tura, at 12:30 pm, and is expected to conclude by 1:45 pm, covering a duration of approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. The designated route will begin at the Sacred Heart Shrine and proceed towards Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Gate, continuing along the road towards St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, then down the RC Road, moving through Chandmari Road and Kalaazar Road, and finally returning to the Sacred Heart Shrine,” the Tura Catholic Coordination Committee said, in a release.
Meanwhile, the committee has appealed to all citizens of Tura, motorists, institutions, and the general public to kindly extend their full cooperation and understanding during the duration of the event. “We humbly request your support in ensuring the smooth and peaceful conduct of this procession as the faithful come together in collective worship and prayer,” it said.
The annual event holds great spiritual significance for the Catholic community, reflecting its shared commitment to faith, peace, and community harmony.
