NEW DELHI, Nov 11: India’s net direct tax collections rose 7% to Rs 12.92 lakh crore between April 1 and November 10, 2025, driven by corporate and personal income taxes.
Refunds fell 18% to Rs 2.42 lakh crore. Gross collections reached Rs 15.35 lakh crore.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced tax relief measures, including higher deductions and TDS limits, to boost middle-class disposable income and economic growth. (IANS)
