lWankam Suiam lodged a complaint at Jowai police station that his son , Emidahun Dkhar frequently threatened him and his family members with dire consequences at Ladthalaboh, Jowai (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
Spurt in theft cases

lOne Kush Loungni lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April 25, one employee of Magestic Hotel, Polo, Shillong identified as Wanteilang Wanchad stole cash Rs. 90,609 from the Hotel.
lOn April 24 night, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of one Babu Chettri at Forest Colony, Mawpun, Shillong and stole goods valued around Rs. 12,000.
Missing case
Regarding a missing report filed by Chriswell Rongrin, Headman of Mawrok village (WKH) that on April 1, one girl Artiful Marthong (2) daughter of Ritlin Marthong was found missing from her residence at the village. Police arrested one Francis Peinlang (30) from Mawrok, Mawliehbah village in West Khasi Hills.
Rape
On April 27 at around 8 pm, one Onni Lyngdoh (26) raped a twenty-three year old woman at Mawreng (EKH).
Assault
lOn April 26 at around 8:30 pm, one John and his brother, Johnny Thangkhiew along with their accomplices assaulted Edward Thangkhiew at Mawlai Umjajew, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Dr. H Gordon Robert Hospital, Shillong.
lOn April 22 at around midnight, three persons identified as Deng Lambu, Kit and John assaulted one Arnesson Dkhar in his residence at Mawiong Umjapung, Shillong, and demanded Rs. 1 lakh, They also threatened him with dire consequences. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
lOn April 24 at about 9.30 pm, unidentified miscreants (3/4) assaulted one Zefrinus Kharmalki at Mawlai Nongkwar, Block-VI, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Body recovered
On April 25 at around 8 am, body of one Oriya (60/65 was recovered from Syndicate Bus stand, Mawlonghat, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
Fraud
One Sahanandan Chanda of Shillong Polytechnic Mawlai lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on Apr. 25 around 10.45 am, he received a phone call, in which the caller claimed that he is from SBI Mumbai and asked for his ATM card PIN. Later, the complainant found that Rs. 26,000 was withdrawn from his account.
