SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC striker Cornell Glen finished on 13 goals for the I-League season, tied with Josimar of Mohammedan Sporting.

The figures were published on the official I-League website on Monday evening after the final round of matches.

Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC) and Darryl Duffy (Salgaocar) topped the table with 14 each.

Rangdajied United’s Ranti Martins came in fifth place with 12 goals, although four of those had been scored during his time at United SC in the first half of the season.

Glen’s tally is the highest for any member in the team’s League history.

The Trinidadian finished ahead of Uilliams Souza Silva (7) and Boithang Haokip (6).

Three of Glen’s goals came via penalties and he appears to have favoured away games; only five of his tally came at home.

The lead striker also recorded a hat-trick at Mohammedan on April 16.

Martins revitalised the RUFC campaign, with the Nigerian scoring in each of his first seven appearances for the Shillong club.

In fact, the only game in which he failed to score was the second Shillong derby against Lajong on April 21.
