SHILLONG: St Anthony’s and St Edmund’s were winners on Monday in respective matches of the Inter School Cricket Tournament, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at the Cricket Ground, Polo.
Anthony’s won by 40 runs, while the Edmundians were seven-wicket winners.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, the Anthonians were bowled out for 138 in 21 overs. Kaushik scored 36 in 26 balls, while Migrak G Momin took 3-27 in five overs.
In reply, Shillong Secondary School lost too many wickets and were restricted to 98/9 in 22 overs.
Reshab Hamal top-scored for his team with 31, while Bishal claimed 2-13 in three overs.
St Edmund’s lost the toss to Ruprekha Parishad School, who chose to bat first.
That decision backfired terribly as Ruprekha were all out for a paltry 45 in 15 overs.
Ram Gurung was the main tormentor, taking 4-8 in five overs.
In reply, Edmund’s made easy work of the chase, finishing it off in eight overs for the loss of three wickets.
Jonal Das top-scored with 14, while Kishan Thakur claimed 2-8 in three overs in a losing cause.
