Shillong, Nov 22:A packed day of T20 action saw Mawklot Rainbow and 3mer Shiteng register contrasting wins, showcasing dominant batting in the first match and nerve-holding resilience in the second.
In a crucial game, Mawklot Rainbow overpowered Turshaphrang by 32 runs after posting a strong 172/5. Half-centuries from Nangsan (56) and Riskhem (55) set the tone, while Dilov added a late flourish. Turshaphrang, despite spirited knocks from Erich M. Lyngdoh (26), Phrang Damut Kharbuki (27) and Pysuk Rymbai (31), were bowled out for 140 as Karan (3/23) and Riskhem (2/19) kept the pressure on. Riskhem was named Player of the Match for his crucial performance.
The another fixture delivered a thriller, with 3mer Shiteng edging United Brothers by five runs. Shiteng posted 165/9, helped by Sunny Rai’s brisk 29, Livingstone Sangma’s 25, and a steady unbeaten 24 from Wanrahbok Nongsiej. United Brothers’ chase revolved around a brilliant 71 from Naseem Ansari, but timely strikes from Nongsiej and Donbor Marbaniang ensured they fell short at 160/9. Wanrahbok Nongsiej was adjudged Player of the Match for his impactful all-round contribution.
