TURA, Nov 23: A nascent local body, United A’chik Socio-Economic Justice Forum, has filed an FIR against a company undertaking the construction of NH-127B for allegedly dumping construction debris into the Norek stream.
The FIR was filed against Premsons Promoters Private Limited and its NHIDCL supervisor, Ishwar Singh, with the Officer-in-Charge of the Songsak Police Station recently.
According to the FIR, the dumping of debris into the stream began after the Nokma reportedly issued a No Objection Certificate for the activity.
Pointing out that the act is endangering the Simsang river as well, as the stream flows into it, the forum demanded action from the police against the company, the NHIDCL supervisor, and all those responsible for permitting the dumping.
