All-round Adarsh wins it for BK Bajoria

SHILLONG: A splendid all-round effort by Adarsh Joshi saw BK Bajoria School beat Jail Road Boys by seven wickets in the Inter School Cricket Tournament, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.

In the other game of the day, All Saints School defeated Arya Kanya Vidhyalaya by 52 runs.

BK Bajoria won the toss and chose to field first, with Jail Road Boys dismissed for just 88 runs in 24.5 overs.

Sahil scored 16 runs, while Adarsh claimed 4-24 in 4.5 overs.

In reply, Bajoria reached the target in 13.4 overs with Adarsh top-scoring with 32 runs.

Shahabuddin took one of the three wickets to fall and ended with figures of 1-16 in three overs.

The second fixture saw All Saints choose to bat first, but they were bowled out for 112 in 20.5 overs.

Abhishek Ghosh made 38 runs off 32 deliveries, while Prince Jamatia bagged 4-27 in 4.5 overs.

In reply, Arya Kanya were skittle for just 60 runs after batting 13.4 overs.

Rudra Das took four wickets for 12 runs in 2.4 overs.

Semifinals today

Meanwhile, both semifinals will be held on Friday.

In the first, St Anthony’s School take on Laban Bengalee School, while St Edmund’s School go up against Garo Union School in the second encounter.
