Condolence
- MPCC president, DD Lapang expressed sorrow at the demise of former speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Monindro Rava. The MPCC also expressed its deepest sympathies and extended condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
- Karanol Cultural and Welfare Society, Shillong mourned the sudden demise of former Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly (Late) Monindro Rava who passed away on May 1. The Association has expressed its heartfelt grief over the demise.
Cultural programme
The Shillong Assamese Ladies Welfare Club will hold a Bihu Preeti Mel (get-together) along with a cultural programme on May 4 at 2.30 pm at Assam Club, Laban.
Meeting
An executive committee meeting of Laban Assamese Namghar was held on April 27. Presided over by its president Dhayan Sharma, the meeting paid tributes tp three members of the Namghar committee– Late Parag Dhar Barua, Late Bishwajit Das and Late Bijoya Mahanta– who passed away recently.
