Shillong, Dec 5: Mawklot powered to a convincing win over Sawmer in a lively 20-over contest, sealing the match with a commanding all-round display.
Batting first, Mawklot piled up an impressive 172/2, thanks to a fluent top-order performance. Nangsan Kynter led the charge with a brisk 49 off 39 balls, while Riskhem’s unbeaten 43 from 30 deliveries kept the momentum intact. Iohbok Dkhar added a quick 24*, guiding the side to a strong finish.Sawmer’s bowlers toiled throughout, with Batkular Thangkiew (1/21) and Poilang Thawmuit (1/20) picking up the only wickets on a difficult outing.Chasing 173, Sawmer faltered early and never recovered, eventually being bundled out for 110 in 17.3 overs.
