56 Days to release on Prime Video

56 Days, the upcoming Prime Video series featuring Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, is set to stream from February 18, 2026. Adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard’s best-selling novel, the series will comprise eight episodes, according to a press release. 56 Days follows Oliver and Ciara, who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other fast, and dangerously hard. Fifty-six days later, homicide investigators arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find an unidentified body-brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. The series is both a unique crime story and a riveting psychological thriller. (PTI)

Dua Lipa’s sister to make film debut

Hollywood actress Rina Lipa, the sister of singer-songwriter Dua Lipa is set to make her foray in cinema. She will be seen essaying the role of a cut-throat criminal. The 24-year-old actress will feature alongside One Day’s Jonny Weldon and ‘Dune: Part Two’ star Tony Cook in thrilling British crime movie A Gangster’s Life. For her silver screen debut in January, Rina will play Scarlett, who lives in a dangerous world of crazed mobsters, murder and betrayal. Rina will follow in her famous singer and actress sister’s footsteps in A Gangster’s Life, which will see award-winning cinematographer Zak Fenning make his directorial debut. The forthcoming film pays homage to great gangster classics including Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Gentlemen. Tomi May, Christina Gkioka, Bradley Turner and Sasha Latoya will also feature in the upcoming movie, which is set to arrive on UK digital 19 January, courtesy of Miracle Media. (ANI)

Makers of Perfect Family confirm second season

The makers of the acclaimed series Perfect Family, which also marked the debut for Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi as a producer, have announced the second season. Produced by Ajay Rai of JAR Pictures and Mohit Chhabra, and created by Palak Bhambri, the show premiered on November 27 on the JAR Series YouTube channel. Directed by Sachin Pathak, the series featured Gulshan Devaiah, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Girija Oak and others. Tripathi said the ‘love and encouragement from viewers’ served as the motivation for the second season. (PTI)

Zendaya, Robert Pattinson’s The Drama teases engagement twist

In a playful tease, the makers of Hollywood stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film The Drama have unveiled the film’s poster, leaving fans surprised for a moment. What initially appeared to be an engagement announcement turned out to be a clever trick to introduce the characters of Zendaya and Pattinson. Taking to her Instagram handle, Zendaya shared the poster and wrote, THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow.’ In the poster, the duo is seen in a close frame, with Zendaya flaunting her engagement ring while Pattinson wraps his arm around her. In another post, Zendaya spilt more details about their characters as the engaged couple, Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson. (ANI)

Beyonce, Venus Williams, Kidman, Anna Wintour to co-chair next Met Gala

The new Met Gala co-chairs have been announced, and it’s a high-powered quartet: Beyonce, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman will join Vogue’s Anna Wintour in hosting the star-packed event next May. Williams, who has never hosted before, takes the role seven years after her younger sister and fellow tennis champion, Serena, was co-chair. Beyonce was honorary chair in 2013, and Kidman co-chaired in 2003 and 2005. Wintour, of course, oversees the annual event, a fundraiser that last year brought a record $31 million to the coffers of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. (PTI)
