Bandarlin Bairo, daughter of SS Nongkynrih and KC Bairo, a resident of Lawsohtun Block VI and wife of  Dr RS Wankhar  has been awarded degree of  doctor of philosophy in Khasi from NEHU  for her thesis   “Writers’ perception of family: A critical study of  Khasi Short stories” under the supervision of  Prof Badaplin War, Department of Khasi, NEHU.
