SHILLONG: The HSSLC (Science) results this year has been the best in the last five years in terms of pass percentage. With 75.33 per cent fo the students emerging successful, there is a rise in 2.04 per cent in the pass percentage from last year.
In the year 2013, the overall pass percentage for Science stream was 73.29 per cent while it was 66.15 per cent in 2012, 66.74 in 2011 and 59.57 per cent n 2010.
In the Commerce stream though, the equation seems to be the other way round.
The pass percentage in the Commerce stream witnessed a decline of 1.33 per cent when compared to last year, ending with 67.91 per cent.
The pass percentage in the Commerce stream stood at 66.21 per cent in 2012, 71 percent in 2011 and 72.53 in 2010.
