Traffic curbs to be lifted on Shillong-Dawki road stretch

SHILLONG, Dec 15: The periodic restrictive order on traffic movement along the Laitlyngkot to Lyngkyrdem stretch of the Shillong-Dawki road will be lifted, allowing 24-hour traffic flow, starting Thursday. This lifting will remain in force until further notice, a public notice issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pynursla Civil Subdivision, informed.
However, road users have been advised that intermittent small-scale construction and recovery activities may continue along this stretch. These activities may result in temporary traffic interruptions, typically lasting 10 to 15 minutes.
The public is requested to remain cautious, cooperate with on-site personnel, and plan travel with potential minor delays in mind, the notice said.
