Govt effects major bureaucratic rejig

SHILLONG, Dec 20: The Meghalaya government on Saturday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle.
According to a government notification, Dr BDR Tiwari, Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner and Secretary of Election Department, etc., will also function as Commissioner and Secretary of the Border Areas Development Department.
On completion of central deputation, Dr Pooja Pandey has been posted as Commissioner and Secretary in the Home (Police) and Home (Political) Departments.
Garod LSN Dykes, Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills district, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Home (Police) and Home (Political) Departments. Isawanda Laloo, Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, etc., will also function as Secretary of the Personnel & AR Department.
Shivansh Awasthi, Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills district, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary of Chief Minister’s Secretariat, while Hema Nayak, Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills district, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills district.
Saloni Verma, Deputy Secretary in the Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, etc., will also function as Deputy Secretary in the Urban Affairs Department and Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Smart City Ltd. Richa Kulkarni, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), West Garo Hills district, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Dadenggre Civil Sub-Division. Vevotolu Kezo, Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar), West Jaintia Hills district, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Amlarem Civil Sub-Division.
