Meghalaya Athletics Association to conduct trials for KIG

Shillong, Jan 7: The Meghalaya Athletics Association (MAA), with the support of the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, will conduct a selection trial for the first Khelo India Games, 2026 at the SAI STC, Shillong on January 12. The trial will begin at 8:00 am sharp.
The selection trial is being organised to identify and scout talented athletes from across the state and is expected to witness large participation from aspiring sportspersons.
In a statement here on Wednesday, MAA senior joint secretary Daisy Marwein said that the trial provides an important platform for athletes to showcase their talent and progress to higher levels of competition.
She urged interested athletes to report at the venue on time and participate actively in the selection process.
