SHILLONG: Shillong Cricket Association 1 defeated Shillong Cricket Association (Laban) by 42 runs in a Women’s Cricket Tournament match at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Wednesday.
SCA 1 will now play South West Khasi Hills in the final of the tournament.
SCA Laban won the toss and chose to field first. Their opponents then made 105/9 in 15 overs witl Silse Sangma providing 37 runs. Seema Mizar took 2-16.
In reply, SCA Laban were restricted to 63/6 in their complement of 15 overs. Silse claimed 2-13 with the ball for an admirable all-round effort.
Meanwhile, in the U-16 Inter District Tournament, SCA 1 and East Khasi Hills will clash in the semifinals.
