SHILLONG, Jan 15: The Meghalaya government will hold its third Cabinet Retreat at Orchid Resort, Mawkasiang, New Shillong, on Friday and Saturday.
The two-day session will bring together Cabinet members to deliberate on governance, policy priorities, and development strategies. These retreats serve as off-site platforms to review government performance, align policy goals, and improve inter-departmental coordination.
The most recent edition of the Meghalaya Cabinet Retreat was a two-day event held at Sohra (Cherrapunjee) in the East Khasi Hills from January 10 to January 11, 2025. During the retreat, participants engaged in thematic sessions aimed at fostering departmental collaboration and shaping the state’s long-term development strategy under “Vision 2032”, with discussions on social sectors, infrastructure, education, health and livelihoods.
