Director Aditya Dhar has announced that the teaser for the highly anticipated sequel, Dhurandhar 2, will be released in “a few days,” responding to a fan query on Instagram.
The first film, starring Ranveer Singh, became a massive hit, surpassing Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever.
Dhar’s announcement has heightened excitement among fans, who eagerly await glimpses of the next chapter in the franchise.
Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, featured an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, alongside Ranveer Singh in the lead role.
The film’s success is attributed not only to its gripping narrative but also to the popularity of its characters, who have become major stars in the audience’s eyes.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma predicted that the sequel will be Bollywood’s biggest “multi-starrer” ever, emphasising that all characters from the first film have grown in stature, making their return in Dhurandhar 2 highly impactful.
The sequel is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, continuing the story of the blockbuster franchise.
