Shillong, Jan 31: Langsning Cricket Club produced a composed all-round performance to defeat Lumpyngngad by six wickets in a Cricket League Super Division 2026 encounter organised by the Shillong Cricket Association here on Saturday.
After winning the toss, Langsning opted to field and were rewarded with a disciplined bowling effort that restricted Lumpyngngad to 209 all out in 40.4 overs. Rahul Shah anchored the innings with a brisk 62 off 45 balls, while Samer Shah offered support with 34 runs from 45 deliveries. However, Lumpyngngad struggled to build sustained partnerships as wickets fell at regular intervals.The standout performer with the ball was Bamanbha Shangpliang, who delivered a match-defining spell, claiming five wickets for 32 runs from his five overs. In reply, Langsning CC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 210 for four in 36.3 overs. Nishanta Chakraborty led the charge with a well-crafted 67 off 71 balls, steering the innings with maturity.
