Impressive pass percentage in Ri Bhoi district, poor show in GH

SHILLONG: Ri Bhoi district topped the performance chart when it came to district performance, as the district performed exceedingly well in the HSSLC (Arts) examinations by managing a pass percentage of 82.64.

The performance of Garo Hills based schools however was below par as most of the districts in Garo Hills failed to cross the 60 percent pass percentage.

East Khasi Hills district secured a pass percentage of 79.18. West Khasi Hills recorded 73.05 pass percentage while West Garo Hills secured 55.65 pass percentage.

The performance of East Garo Hills was very average as the district secured 47.52 percentage while South Garo Hills also secured mere 43.19 pass percentage

South West Khasi Hills recorded 77.13 percent, adding West Jaintia Hills witnessed a pass percentage of 75.27 percent.

East Jaintia Hills secured 59.49 percentage while North Garo Hills again managed 54.67 percent.

South South West Garo Hills also witnessed 40.70 pass percentage.

In SSLC examinations, East Khasi Hills lead the way with the pass percentage in the district at 78.18 percent.

West Jaintia Hills also performed exceedingly well recording a pass percentage of 77.03.

Militancy infested East Garo Hills secured a mere 35.44 pass percentage along with West Garo Hills who also put up a poor show as the district recorded only 31.43 pass percentage.

South Garo Hills performance was below average as the district’s pass percentage was 22.67 while in West Khasi Hills it was 61.32 percent.

Ri Bhoi performed well as the district recorded 77.35 pass percentage while South West Garo Hills again performed average and recorded 29.57 percent.

North Garo Hills pass percentage was 35.25 while for South West Khasi Hills it stood at 71.20 percent and East Jaintia Hills recorded 69.51.
