TURA, Feb 18: Officiating Assistant Lecturers appointed under the 3F category in government schools have reportedly not received their salaries since October 2025.

Expressing concern over the prolonged delay, the affected lecturers stated that they have repeatedly approached the Directorate of School Education & Literacy (DSEL) to seek clarification regarding their pending dues. However, they claim that they were informed on multiple occasions that their salaries had not been processed due to the absence of concerned office staff who were reportedly on leave.

The lecturers described the situation as deeply distressing, noting that the continued non-payment of salaries has caused significant financial hardship. Many of them are primary breadwinners with families to support, including children whose educational expenses- such as admission fees, books, and uniforms, must be met.

They further expressed disappointment that while educators are expected to contribute towards raising academic standards in the state, their own welfare concerns remain unresolved.

The aggrieved lecturers, while appealing to the government and concerned authorities to expedite the release of their pending salaries, have also urged the authorities to strengthen work culture and accountability within the directorate to safeguard the interests of teaching staff and maintain the overall quality of education in the state.
