Shillong, Feb 19: The Lok Sabha MP from Shillong Ricky AJ Syngkon is no more. He collapsed while he was playing football when he collapsed. He was rushed to Robert Hospital where he breathed his last. He was 54. Details are being awaited.
He was playing football at Mawiong when suddenly he collapsed. He was first rushed to CHC Mawiong and then to Robert hospital.
Senior district administration officials of East Khasi Hills, several political leaders including Voice of the People Party (VPP) Chief Ardent Basaiawmoit, Mawhati MLA Charles Marngnar rushed to Robert Hospital on hearing the news about the MP’s demise.
Meanwhile, party workers, MLAs from VPP and other parties including Deputy Chief Minister rushed to the hospital. The crowd is growing by the minute as the news is getting around.
The hospital administration is yet to give an official briefing while party workers and few MLAs confirmed that he is no more.
