Rangshken, Cricket Smit register big wins on Day 5

Shillong, Feb 24: Rangshken ACC and Cricket Smit registered emphatic victories on Day 5 of the 5th District League T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 organised by the East Khasi Hills Cricket Association.

Rangshken ACC Chase Down 177 with Ease

In Match No. 9, Rangshken ACC produced a clinical run chase to defeat Marbisu CC by seven wickets.
After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Rangshken ACC restricted Marbisu CC to 176 in their allotted 20 overs. Rohan Rai provided the backbone of the innings with a brisk 42 off 24 deliveries, injecting momentum at the top. Kyrmenskhem Nongrum was the pick of the bowlers for Rangshken, finishing with impressive figures of 2 for 22 in his four overs to keep the scoring in check during the middle phase.
Chasing 177, Rangshken ACC displayed composure and control. Arjune Nongdhar anchored the innings superbly with a well-crafted 74 off 54 balls, guiding his side home in 18.4 overs at 177 for 3. His knock blended patience with timely aggression, ensuring there were no late hiccups.Interestingly, Rohan Rai made an impact with the ball as well, claiming 2 for 21 in 3.4 overs, but it was not enough to prevent Rangshken from completing a comfortable chase.Arjune Nongdhar was named Player of the Match for his match-winning contribution.

Cricket Smit Dominate Sportopia SCC

Match No. 10 saw Cricket Smit overpower Sportopia SCC with a commanding 73-run victory.
Having won the toss, Cricket Smit chose to bat first and posted 147 all out in 19.4 overs. Bashaikupar Nongdhar led the charge with an aggressive 56 off 33 balls, laying a solid platform.
In response, Sportopia SCC faltered under disciplined bowling. They were bundled out for just 74 in 17.2 overs, with Bansiewkylliang Lapasam top-scoring with a modest 16 off 14 deliveries.
