Octomewot Lamin takes oath as MDC in JHADC

Jowai, Feb 26: Octomewot Lamin was sworn in as a nominated member of District Council (MDC), at a ceremony held on the 26 February, in the chamber of the Chairman of the Jaiñtia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC), Jowai, Dr. Sankey Shangpung.
Octomewot Lamin has been reappointed as a nominated MDC for the second time.
In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the Executive Committee of the JHADC under the leadership of the National People’s Party (NPP) for once again entrusting him with the responsibility to serve in the Council.
The oath of office was administered by the Chairman of the JHADC in the presence of Chief Executive Member (CEM) Thombor Shiwat, Executive Members (EMs) of the Council, and other MDCs from both the ruling and opposition sides.
