SHILLONG, March 3: The Rotary Club of Shillong held its Annual Vocational Awards ceremony on Monday here during which it recognised five institutions for their exemplary humanitarian service and social transformation.
According to a statement here, the event was attended by NESAC Director SP Agarwala as the chief guest, alongside Rotary District 3240 Governor Dr. KS Elangbam and District Rotaract Representative Kumar Shivam Das. The institutions that were honoured were Seng Biria U Khasi (SBUK), Roilang Livelihood Academy, Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Shillong), Ramakrishna Mission Sohra and Impulse NGO Network.
During the event, Club president Chandana Das welcomed the guests, while citations for each awardee were read out before the presentation of the honours. Representatives of the five organisations expressed their gratitude and shared the mission behind their work, reaffirming their commitment to uplift of community and social justice.
